How to compare a photo

  1. Choose one authorized JPG, PNG, or WebP showing one cat.
  2. Select Identify my cat to send the processed image for comparison.
  3. Review the leading comparison, two alternatives, three observations, and their limits.

A picture can start a comparison

A friend’s cat, an animal at a shelter, or a cat in a photograph may look familiar without being easy to name. This page helps you compare that visible appearance with a fixed catalog. It does not assume you know the cat’s history or have access to pedigree records.

Use an image you own or have permission to share with the analysis provider. Downloading a public image does not automatically grant permission for every use. Avoid pictures that contain faces, addresses, identification tags, or other unnecessary private details.

Choose one visible cat

A clear picture should show one cat, ideally with the face, ears, body, and tail visible. Multiple cats, heavy filters, unusual perspectives, and soft focus can hide the differences you are trying to compare. A cropped head can offer clues but cannot reveal the whole silhouette.

This tool accepts a photo file rather than fetching an arbitrary web address. Save an authorized JPG, PNG, or WebP to your device, then upload it. Originals may be up to 8 MiB and 40 megapixels. Larger files are resized in browser memory to fit the API’s 3 MiB prepared-image limit; unsupported or unreadable files receive an explanation rather than a breed guess.

Read three possibilities together

The leading match is the highest-scoring visual comparison among three selected profiles. Alternatives help show that similar traits appear in several kinds of cat. A stocky longhaired cat might resemble multiple forest breeds while also fitting a domestic longhair description.

Look at the three listed observations before deciding whether a comparison is useful. They should describe features you can actually see. Coat pattern, head shape, and ear shape can overlap across breeds, and apparent body size depends on camera angle and scale.

When the picture cannot answer the question

A photo cannot verify the identity of a particular cat, locate its owner, prove a seller’s pedigree claim, or reveal its health. The catalog also omits breeds outside this first set. A domestic description may be the most appropriate option for an uncertain or unfamiliar appearance.

If the tool reports no cat or cannot complete the analysis, try another authorized picture with a clearer view. Do not treat repeated uploads as independent proof. For adoption or purchase decisions, ask for documented background and professional advice appropriate to the decision.

Questions about this photo tool

Can I paste an image URL?

This version accepts an image file. Upload an authorized JPG, PNG, or WebP instead of a web address.

Can I upload someone else’s cat photo?

Only use a photograph you have permission to share with DeepSeek for analysis. Remove unnecessary private details.

Will it identify every breed?

No. The catalog contains 20 pedigreed profiles and two domestic coat categories. An omitted breed cannot be established by this tool.
