Photos and identification results
When you choose a file, its preview is created in your browser. Analysis starts only when you select Identify my cat. Originals may be up to 8 MiB; files over 3 MiB are resized and converted to JPEG in browser memory. The API accepts only a prepared image up to 3 MiB. The server checks and decodes the file, removes image metadata, and sends a resized JPEG and fixed classification instructions to DeepSeek. Avoid photos containing people, addresses, identity tags, or other private details.
This application does not save uploaded image files to disk, a database, or object storage. It does not publish result pages or put personal results in a sitemap. A preview and result remain in the current browser page until you replace them, navigate away, or close it. The application does not place photos or results in cookies, browser storage, analytics events, or application logs.
The external analysis provider
DeepSeek receives the processed image and prompt when analysis is requested. Its processing, retention, and data-location practices are separate from this application’s in-memory handling. This website does not promise that the provider immediately deletes data or that its general privacy policy covers every downstream application requirement. Read the provider’s current policies before sharing an image.
Request metadata and abuse prevention
Cloudflare processes uploaded photos in memory to validate and resize them before analysis. Cloudflare Durable Objects enforce photo limits using a secret-keyed IP digest and request counts that expire. A site-wide daily counter limits the use of the external image model.
Cloudflare supplies the client IP used to check the quota. The quota store contains counts and expiry timestamps. Hosting providers may maintain their own request and security logs.
The application logs generic failure codes for troubleshooting and keeps photo bytes, filenames, credentials, and model outputs out of application logs.
Calculators and email
Age, weight, and surgery-budget inputs are calculated in your browser. This application does not save them, add them to the page URL, or include them in analytics. Email links open your own mail application; sending a message shares its contents and address with the website operator and email service. Do not email credentials or sensitive medical records.
Optional analytics and your choice
The site has one analytics integration, Google Analytics 4. It remains inactive when no measurement ID is configured and runs only after you choose to allow analytics. When active, it measures page paths and coarse actions such as an upload attempt, success, failure, retry, or link position. It does not receive the photo, filename, calculator inputs, visual observations, confidence scores, or your identification result.
The analytics choice is stored locally in your browser. You can change it using Analytics preferences in the footer. Declining analytics does not prevent identification or calculator use. The deployment currently has no advertising scripts or active affiliate links.
